ARC Raiders Frozen Trail Update: Release Date and Everything You Need to Know

The next major chapter of ARC Raiders is almost here. The Frozen Trail Update is set to expand the game with a new map, new ARC threats, weapons, gadgets, progression systems, and several changes aimed at giving experienced Raiders more reasons to return.

For players preparing their stash before the update, this is also a good time to organize weapons, materials, and ARC Raiders Coins so there is less scrambling when the new content arrives.

When Is the Frozen Trail Release Date?

The confirmed Frozen Trail release date is October 8, 2026. Embark has described Frozen Trail as its biggest update since launch, with the update introducing a new frontier beyond the Rust Belt.

The update will be available as a free content update. While the release date is confirmed, players should avoid relying on an unconfirmed launch hour until Embark provides the final timing.

Pendola Pass Is the Main Attraction

The biggest addition is Pendola Pass, a snowy mountain region located beyond the Rust Belt.

The area features an abandoned settlement, an observatory, a buried train depot, and the remains of a fallen Emperor. The environment is designed around verticality, exploration, and different combat ranges.

One of the major dangers is the Flash Freeze condition. Raiders will need to pay attention to the changing environment rather than treating the new map like a standard open area.

The map also introduces a new Map Condition called Redirection, creating additional opportunities and conflicts during raids.

New ARC Enemies

Frozen Trail also adds several new threats.

The Frigate is one of the most unusual challenges. This massive ARC vessel creates close-quarters encounters high above the ground, with Raiders having to navigate its interior while dealing with ARC and other players.

The update also introduces:

Bully, an aggressive close-range ARC enemy
Skulker, a stealthier enemy that waits for opportunities to strike
Hydra, a stationary multi-part turret encountered on the Frigate

These enemies should make PvE encounters less predictable and force squads to adjust their positioning and priorities.

New Weapons and Gadgets

Two new weapons are coming with Frozen Trail.

The Stiletto is a light-ammo battle rifle designed as an accessible alternative to the Renegade, while the Bantam is a heavy-ammo revolver with a distinctive hip-fire option.

Traversal and combat options are also expanding with the Grappling Hook, Tether Launcher, and Yank Grenade.

The Grappling Hook is particularly interesting because it can be used to reach difficult locations, swing across gaps, and create new movement routes on Pendola Pass.

Weapon Amplification Changes Late-Game Builds

One of the most important systems in Frozen Trail is Weapon Amplification.

Using the Research Workstation in the Outpost, players can unlock a fifth quality level for selected weapons. Instead of simply increasing numbers, Amplification introduces branching modifications that can change how a weapon behaves.

The system initially covers 15 weapons, giving players more reasons to experiment with weapons that might otherwise remain unused.

Outposts and Reward Passes

Frozen Trail also introduces customizable Outposts. Players can decorate their personal space with furniture and use the Research Workstation to unlock additional weapon customization.

The progression system is changing as well. Reward Passes are replacing the previous Raider Deck structure. The Frozen Trail Reward Pass includes free and premium tracks, while the Legacy Pass brings previous Raider Deck rewards together into a free progression path.

The free Frozen Trail track includes gameplay items, outfits, cosmetics, and up to 200 Raider Tokens.

Frozen Trail is much more than a new map. It adds new enemies, weapons, traversal tools, weapon customization, Outposts, quests, Skill Tree changes, and a new progression system.
